Global Apartments: Studies in Housing Homogeneity

This book is the result of almost a decade of research on multi-family buildings, known worldwide as apartments. The Global Apartments Research Group at the University of Michigan brought together students from different parts of the planet interested in the contemporary built environment of their native lands. For 4 years (2005-2009) we met regularly (twice a month for most of the academic year) and discussed multi-family housing solutions in 13 different countries (Brazil, Costa-Rica, India, Mexico, Egypt, Finland, Italy, South Korea, Russia, Germany, US, Turkey, Japan).
