For those actively seeking truth and information about therapeutic fostering (the impact fostering can have upon your family) this book charts our progress and looks at methods and practice - as guided by our employers - and sees our eventual bewilderment with fostering: that we continually endeavoured to reflect best practice, to provide compassionate, congruent parenting within a stable loving family home, to children who seemed bewildered by our best efforts, was intensely demanding, and over time proved exhausting.

Sadly there are few books out there that are brutally honest, and those meagre choices available brush reality under the carpet, favouring instead a rose-tinted-view of fostering, which can be misleading.
