Veteran comedy writer and three time Emmy Award winner Gordon Bressack (writer of shows like PINKY & THE BRAIN, CAPTAIN SIMIAN AND THE SPACE MONKEYS, and ANIMANIACS) took leave of his senses for a period of approximately eleven months from March 16, 2009 to February 20, 2010 during which time he published a very popular blog. Then he abruptly stopped. No one quite knows why. The blog is gone but here it is in its entirety, full of hilarity, bitterness, trouble making, philosophy, dating tips, short stories, memoirs and now with brighteners!
"Gordon Bressack is the maddest mad genius of comedy writing. His poison pen has peaked with MY MIND AND WELCOME TO IT, where he finally succeeds in alienating everybody."
Martin Olson
--author, Encyclopaedia of Hell.
"'My Mind and Welcome To It' is Gordon Bressack's greatest creation, other then me...."
James Cullen Bressack
-Writer/Director, My Pure Joy
"Let's get one thing straight. Gordon Bressack snagged himself three Emmy Awards by putting his name on scripts that Rob Paulsen and I basically ad-libbed our way through. Every brilliant, arch, insightful, hilariously witty line from The Brain, and every wild, unpredictable, side-splitting bit of silliness from Pinky? Ours. Off-the-cuff. Totally just came up with 'em on the spot, right there in the recording sessions. Hell, we even made up the storylines as we went. Because everyone knows animators and directors and producers just love to work that way, right? Quite frankly, I'm tired of Bressack riding on my coat-tails. In fact, the only truly funny thing Gordon Bressack ever wrote for me was this book intro thingy right here."
Maurice La Marche
-Star of Futurama, Pinky & The Brain, Lexus commercials. Forgive him; he's Canadian.
