You may say Summer is the best season for BBQ but I believe autumn can be even better! You can enjoy the heat of the BBQ – even in cloudy weather – and the mosquitos are also gone with the wind …
BBQ is always great fun. It gives a good opportunity to stay outside, enjoy nature and have a common activity with family or friends. Not to mention the great conversations you can have while the BBQ meat smells like heaven already!
So get ready and enjoy the belated BBQ season!
Preparation
All of the dishes can be prepared outside on a gas / cereal / electric BBQ or in the kitchen oven with BBQ function. At some meals, like ribs, I even recommend to combine the methods: start with the traditional oven and finish the meat on the BBQ grate.
Ingredients
I try to avoid grains, dairy products and sugar in our everyday “home cooking” life. Therefore you can consider all of the recipes in this book gluten-, lactose- and sugar-free.
Try to buy organic or at least GMO free, farmer products if possible.
Portions
I am used to cooking for two persons so the dishes you find in my cookbook serve two portions. Therefore I do not make any special comment at the recipes.
I believe in real food!
At least at home I try to avoid any processed food or processed ingredients. As you will see I will encourage you to prepare the marinade, the rub and even the BBQ sauce from scratch.
I believe that you have to cook with love!
This is the most important ingredient you need! If you cook only because it is a social expectation or just to fulfill your obligation – forget it! Cook for joy!
