The book recalls me battling against the odds to get a 2:1 physics degree from Sheffield University and to go on to postgraduate study at Oxford University. The centrepiece tells of a life as a postgraduate student with what turned out to be Asperger's. It was to be a bridge too far for me even though that wasn't due to lack of intelligence; I later became a member of Mensa with a measured IQ of 134. After my studies I found that I had rendered myself practically unemployable. The stress meant that I was hospitalised for several months with schizoaffective disorder. It is now 20 years since leaving hospital. In that time I have been living on the fringes of society with no job and no relationship. Yet I have achieved much. In April of this year aged 53 I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. This is my story: 'Asperger's Revealed'.
