Suburban Blues is the story of policing in the '70's through the '90's in the Boston suburb of Malden. Although the story is that of one officer and his attempts to combat criminal activity along with fellow police, it is a view into the atmosphere that existed within several departments with their moral decline and criminals within. Policing the public was more difficult than it needed to be due to the system and its players with their own agendas. It fostered shoddy police work at times and often criminal cops to prevail. This story reads like fiction but unfortunately was worse than the truth on these pages.
