Drafted into the Army just two months before the attack on Pearl Harbor, Ken Rohde makes fast friends with three other young men: John Reck, Merel Roth, and John Rush. After marrying his sweetheart Marge on Christmas Eve, and spending the winter moving from camp to camp, Rohde is shipped off to the South Pacific along with the other three R’s.
