A few reminiscences of Rhodesia and my job as a Fire and Accident Inspector with the Prudential Assurance Company during the Rhodesian Bush War. Take a look with me at the life of an ordinary civilian between and during Call Ups.
Regular members of any force tend to look down on Volunteers and Reservists. Many if not most fail to comprehend that the Reservists have to live two different lives, balancing the requirements of a Civilian career against the requirements of the Military.
Consequently I have written of a few of my own experiences to show how the Volunteer Reserve and Territorial Force members of our Air Force, Army and Police plus the other forces, such as Intaf and Guard Force lived when not on Call-up. I hope you enjoy them.
